The hard part about trying to write and take pictures at a show you really want to be at is trying to stay present and not lose yourself in the music. The riffs start hitting. The drums pick up. Hair starts swinging. Is that a skull on the mic stand? A pick scrape screeches you back into reality.
Necrofier is so damn good live. The albums are great, but live is where they truly thrive. Unhinged pure energy. A stripped down Black Metal assault. No spikes. No paint. Just leather, riffs and cowboy boots - they are from Texas after all.
Opening up a stacked lineup takes a lot. You set the tone for the night. A bad opener takes a long time to dig out of. But when you get a band that comes out screaming like Necrofier it puts things in motion that cannot be undone.
