Who are we?
We are a team of photographers and writers that focus on metal/punk music culture. As life-long metal maniacs, we’ve had the opportunity to document some of the best in underground music across the United States.

Samantha James is a photographer from Tampa, Florida. Her work primarily focuses on metal throughout America, with the goal to amplify underground bands in black metal and death metal. She has previously photographed Hell’s Heroes 2024, Milwaukee Metal Festival, Swarm Fest in Tampa, Night Shift Party Weekend, Eve of War Fest, Destroying Texas, and Mass Destruction Metal Fest. Her work photography has been printed in Decibel Magazine’s November 2024 issue. Her work was featured in the Devastation on the Nation national PR package used to promote the I Am Morbid/Suffocation tour. Samantha additionally co-runs the heavy metal music and culture publication Street Teeth, featuring metal and hardcore acts across the country, and metal fans and culture alike. Lucas James has a background in creative direction in the world of Chicago advertising. His wealth of heavy metal knowledge stems from a long history of playing in bands most of his life. Luke’s favorite bands include Bathory, Celtic Frost, and MGLA.
