Everybody was doing the toxic waltz

Exodus

No one was murdered in the front row at the Exodus show Saturday night, but we were definitely bonded by blood and cheap beers. During the set, Steve Souza commanded the crowd to split and form a wall of death. I was fully prepared to see someone get knocked out Looney Tunes style into a cloud of dust and silver studs. Gary Holt was LEGENDARY. Duh. A few fearless fans flew over the barricade during Deathamphetamine. Toxic Waltz opened with a few licks off of “Rock You Like a Hurricane” (too soon Florida?), except everyone was off time which was terrible, but amazing. I get those two things confused sometimes. Best of all - there were no fuckin’ ballads.

HAVOK

Colorado’s Havok delivered a blistering performance at The Orpheum in Tampa. On tour with thrash legends Exodus, the band unleashed raging riffs, relentless drumming, and savage vocals that had fans roaring in unison. The set featured favorites like “From the Cradle to the Grave,” leaving metalheads battered but wanting more. This was thrash metal at its purest – raw, fast, and unforgettable.
